When dogs and cats don't have a home, they're at risk of being left behind
At pawshelt, we rescue dogs and cats from shelters before their time runs out — giving them medical care, safety and a second chance at a loving home.
Donate NowEvery animal deserves a second chance
pawshelt was founded by a group of passionate dog and cat lovers who refused to accept the belief that shelters had no option but to euthanize “unadoptable” animals. Determined to make a difference, our founders joined forces and began rescuing dogs and cats from shelters just as their time was running out — and we haven't stopped since.
Discover the many ways you can save a life
Every rescue is a story of recovery. Here are just a few of the dogs and cats whose lives changed because people like you cared.
Nico's Journey to Health
Nico arrived in heartbreaking condition — severe mange and a skin infection had cost him almost all his fur. After weeks of medicated baths, antibiotics and round-the-clock care, his coat grew back fuller than ever and his playful spirit returned. Today he thrives in a forever home that adores him.
Luna's Battle with Parvovirus
Luna was diagnosed with parvovirus, a highly contagious and often deadly disease. Her odds were low, but with constant care, IV fluids and a devoted medical team, she fought back and won. Today she's a cheerful, energetic pup who fills her home with joy.
Sasha's Road from Neglect
Rescued from severe neglect, Sasha was so malnourished she could barely lift her head. A carefully monitored nutrition plan and gentle encouragement helped her regain her strength. Today she's a lively, affectionate dog who loves playing fetch with her family.
